This has been bugging me ever since I bought the DVD: when I watched the movie on USA Up All Night many years ago, I coulda sworn there were a few extra seconds in the scene where the photographer friend is taking pictures of the mom, and that he asks the mom to unbutton the top button of her blouse. Thing is I have never seen him do that in the DVD or the VHS version. Did anyone see it when it was in the theaters, or see the version that aired on USA Up All Night that can tell me if i'm wrong? It'll be a great deal of relief to know whether i'm crazy or not.

I don't ever recall seeing that! It appears that maybe she has loosened her top after we see the shot of Rick coming into the room, but the last thing Jay O'Neill says is "why don't you go to sleep?" to the kid.
I certainly wouldn't be surprised if that were some kind of long-lost outtake, considering how some movies change when they travel from the big screen to TV. Sixteen Candles is a classic example of the cable TV version differing from the theatrical release (alternate soundtrack, extra scenes).
There most certainly were outtakes in Bachelor Party (Barry Diamond said there were definitely scenes with him that were cut from the film), but we didn't get the benefit of seeing them on DVD. Hard to imagine BP getting re-issued in a special edition, too (sad to say).

It was on the VHS copy I used to have, kinda upset that it was cut from the DVD.

Just read here that the actress that played Mrs. Klupner died 4 years after the filming of BP, maybe that scene was shortened out of respect to her family.
