I started this thread in hopes that some of you maniacs out there would share your past bachelor party experiences. Plus, a friend of mine is getting the 'big send-off' this weekend.
The plan doesn't exactly rival that of the film's (in which most events DID take place at Producer Bob Israel's bachelor party), but it's going to be a nice - if not hot - day out.
The original plan was to do a one-day jaunt to Rocky Point (I live in Phoenix, so the beach is a mere 4 hours away), BUT leave it up those college spring breakers, beating me to the punch, and renting out nearly ALL of the good hotel rooms down there. That's what I get for not planning ahead.
So, now I'm just going to load up a fun bus (aka 12-passenger van) and take our honored guest to a new Mexican place in Scottsdale for lunch called The Salty Senorita. From there, we will hop around the greater Phoenix area to most, if not all of our favorite drinking spots (mostly micropubs that brew their own beer..we're all strong-ale drinkers!). This should take up all of Saturday afternoon. ;D
From there, the fun bus (believe me I wanted a school bus, but I think you gotta have a commercial license for that) will roll back to my house, at which point all of our female acquaintances will join us for a post-St. Patrick's Day party, where there'll be lots of Guinness, corned beef, and hopefully some brief nudity! The BP DVD will be in my holster, ready to be drawn at any time!
So, no strippers, donkeys, or all-girl bands for this party, but it should be a good one anyway.
