Don't get too excited, but I found this excerpt in a movie news archive from www.littleindia.com, dated April 24, 1998. The article talks about filmmakers/actors from India, and there is a short blurb about Bachelor Party co-producer Raju Patel: Another Hollywood success story is that of the father and son team of Sharad and Raju Patel...Later the father and son formed Twin Continental Inc., their own distribution outfit in the United States and produced the highly successful ‘Bachelor Party’ for 20th Century Fox, starring Tom Hanks.
Patel is also doing a TV series on Pinocchio for Fox TV. Also in the works is a sequel to ‘Bachelor Party.’ Right from the beginning the Patels have worked in collaboration with the big studios. As Raju Patel points out he was just 23 when he delivered ‘Bachelor Party’ to 20th Century Fox, a film grossing $ 48 million in 1984. Given the fact that tickets have gone from $2 to $ 8 in that period, Patel says that would be the equivalent of $170 million: "When you deliver a successful movie like that you tend to get the residual affect of a successful producer and that’s what triggers you into newer and bigger and better movies."Needless to say, I immediately looked for anything mentioning a Bachelor Party sequel, or any mention that it was in the works at one time. No such luck! Maybe it was a passing idea he had at the time. It's already been six years since that article hit the 'net. 1002
