In 1984 I was 10 years old (the time when a little kid could get into any movie he/she wanted) and one of my fondest memories of that year was seeing “Bachelor Party” on the big screen. I grew up in Los Angeles where I lived with my Mom (I still live here today) but would spend parts of the summer with my Dad who back then lived in Saugus (a small town about 30 miles North of L.A.) where I would spend most of my time watching movies at the local multiplex called the “Mann 6” which later expanded to the “Mann 10” in early ‘84 (which has unfortunately been closed for almost two years now due to business being drawn away by a larger more modern multiplex built near by).” One day in mid-August of ’84 some friends and I road our bikes to see the film “The Last Starfighter” in it’s final days at the theater which they were showing as the first movie in a double feature with “Bachelor Party (which I only knew as the film with the guy from “Bosom Buddies”).” From that moment on it became to this day one of my most favorite films of all time and will always remind me of that great day when I saw it as a kid.
1002… thanks for sending out the e-mail today that reminded me it’s the 20th Anniversary ‘cause I totally would have forgotten otherwise (I’m watching the movie as I type). Also… thanks for putting in the time, heart and effort to make such an excellent online homage to one of the greatest comedies of all time. As a huge fan of the film I truly appreciate it.
Happy Anniversary to all!!!

Thanks, guys. I'm really appreciative of you all signing up here and sharing the spirit that you have for this film. Bachelor Party is a personal favorite of mine, and sometimes that baffles some of my friends, but this movie just never gets old for me. I celebrated at a friend's house last night. We watched the DVD on his huge-assed 60" TV, and had many beers in the process. Last night was interesting, as I found a lot of little mistakes in the film that I'd either never caught before, or just didn't think about. (I'll be updating the movie trivia section really soon!). I also grew up with this flick. When I was 14 (in 1985), I spent a week with my grandparents. The movie was on HBO late one night. I recorded the movie, but there was a storm that night, so the picture was often fuzzy. Nevertheless, I watched that fuzzy video over and over until I finally got a proper copy. My parents actually found the video in my room, and made me erase the tape! They just didn't want me stealing Porsches and donkeys at an early age, I guess. Anyway, this movie has a special place inside, and I just wanted to create a site that was as faithful to and representative of the film as possible. All of the image styles, background clipart, fonts, etc. are all there on purpose! I'm very grateful to have like-minded fans on the board, and thankful for all the kind words about the site. I would like to take a moment to thank fellow site contributor Fujilife for his help in making what the site is today. He is responsible for the video clips, image montages, and avatars. In fact, he just sent four more avatars my way, and I will be putting them up on the site shortly. He is also working on getting me higher quality video clips, too. The fun is just beginning on this site. There is much more multimedia to add, along with future cast and crew interviews. I'm also going to be on 'sequel watch' and keep in touch with Bob Israel about the latest scoop with the possible "Bachelor Party 2". Who knows how big this site will get, if that movie gets made. Fun things ahead. Oh, and I love reading your BP memoirs, so keep posting them! Thanks for help keeping the Party alive! 1002
