Hey everybody,
I've been away for a bit, so not much has been going on with the website. I've been putting in some long hours at the ol' day job, so my free time has been limited. A site update is certainly in order. I'm going to look things over and see what's next for the site. There may or may not be a few changes in the next couple of weeks, and then I'm off to Cali for my yearly summer vacation. When I return, I'll definitely focus on a major site update. I'm still debating about giving the site a new look, or just leaving well-enough alone. Your suggestions are always welcome. I'll warn you ahead of time - my web development skills are limited, so don't be looking for anything fancy!
In the world of all things Bachelor Party, not much has been going on. An interview fell through months ago, which I was hoping to surprise everyone with. It would've been with Gary Grossman, that's right, "Gary" from the movie. We had exchanged a couple of emails, and he seemed willing to contribute at the time (this was around Xmas), but he is very busy producing theatre, and I think he just got too busy to help. Hopefully we'll hear back from him soon.
I was browsing the site last night, and took a look at the Guestbook, and saw this interesting entry:
Name : Cliff Schuchart
Location : Chico CA
Comment : Tawny Kitaen was my roomate in 1980, she was Robbin Crosby of RATTs girlfriend and I was in his band. She was a really great person she would do anything for you. I still have a comedy audio tape we made as a joke about groupies in 1980. Still ha
An ex-member of RATT? How cool. Well, if you're familiar with RATT's albums, you'll know that Tawny graces the cover of their 1984 LP 'Out Of The Cellar'. Of course, she was more famous as the girlfriend of Whitesnake's Dave Coverdale, all because of her lovely presence in their videos! I'd let her roll around on my Jaguar any day, screw the wax job!
Anyway, I'd like to welcome the message board's most recent members. We now have 84 members! Now, if we could only get all 84 to actually post...
Speaking of stats, I checked website stats last night, and was pleasantly surprised to see that the website is seeing some solid activity. We are averaging 250 hits a day. Considering how old this film is, and how little I advertise, I think that's outstanding. Also, the site is now the #3 result on Google when the search term is bachelor party movie. That's good news, seeing that 96% of people looking for a movie site use that term. I honestly hadn't looked at site stats in a few months, so these numbers were a little victory for me this weekend. I think a good site update will help matters, and perhaps some new goodies for you die hard fans. Thank you for sticking with the site, and all your kind words. I'll continue to make this site better for all of you.
One last thing - June 29th is the 21st 'birthday' of Bachelor Party. That's only 10 days away, people. Just make sure you're somewhere, watching that movie with some friends (or by yourself), and having a few cold ones. 21 years. Crazy.
